Who’s Got Your Back?

When you’re making decisions in business or in life in general, do you feel alone or do you feel supported in those decisions? In other words, who’s got your back?

Entrepreneurs who are able to negotiate the maze of potential decisions by trusting their intuitive sense often feel like they have a high-powered team cheering them on, giving advice, and watching their back.

That extra nudge of support and confidence can give you an edge, as I mentioned last week, that can set your business apart. There is everything to gain and nothing to lose by learning to follow your intuition.

I’ve talked about those “gut feelings” (many of you know what I mean), but there are other ways that your intuition may talk to you.

You are a unique being and your style of receiving information is unique too. Given that, there are in general, four ways that intuition communicates.

Learning how YOU receive your intuition is immensely helpful. Learning to pay attention to those messages and to trust them does much more than give you that extra edge; it can change your life in meaningful and wonderful ways. You can:

  • Feel supported by the universe and not so alone.
  • Find the inner confidence you’ve been looking for.
  • Know you are spiritually connected and guided.

Most people will usually get messages mainly in one way, but you can get them from the most common four ways. And, like any muscle that gets a workout, you can strengthen any one of them.

Which way do you receive your intuition? This multiple choice question will help you know what is your dominate way you receive your intuition.

Think of the last vacation you took. What do you tend to remember first or what had the strongest impression on you? See if one of these options matches:

  1. You remember feeling peaceful and tranquil, or feeling excited and playful during your trip. Remembering how the trip made you feel.
  2. Interesting cultural or other things you learned that were important to you. You just know that this was a good trip for you. Remembering something you learned, or you just knew something special about the place without being told.
  3. The beautiful sights of the place that you visited, the architecture, or watching a stunning sunset over the ocean. Remembering something you saw.
  4. You remember how quiet or noisy the place was where you were. Or you remembered the sounds of the ocean waves, and seagulls if you were there. Remembering the sounds that you heard.

As you can see you might think of all four of those items, but what came to your mind first or had the strongest impression, is usually how you will also receive your ‘Clairs’ or intuition. (Clair means ‘clear’ in French.) Below are the descriptions of the 4 multiple choice answers that go with each “Clair.”

  1. Clairsentient: you get the message through feeling, usually somewhere on your body. Most people have experienced this, but it may or may not be your dominant way to receive your intuition. It is that ‘gut feeling’ in the pit of your stomach, or ‘goose bumps’, or ‘hair standing up on the back of your neck’.

This is similar to the successful business man that got that tingling around his belt buckle, signaling an intuitive message.

  1. Claircognizance which is French for ‘clear knowing’ or ‘clear thinking,’ You just know it, and it might not make any sense or have any concrete way you should know this. You just know it. If you feel that this happens to you, pay attention to any ideas that you receive. Especially if it seems to come from nowhere, and/or if they are repetitive and trying to get your attention. It is easy to ignore this information, especially if it doesn’t make sense. Often claircognizance may only make sense in hindsight. You may have to take a leap of faith with these types of messages. You hear of women who just know their husbands are cheating, despite evidence to the contrary, only to learn that they were right.

Truly inspired ideas come through this way also. There are stories of inventors who would wake up from a nap, and just know the solution to a problem they had, or have a whole new idea to work on.

  1. Clairvoyance which is French for ‘clear seeing’ or ‘second sight.’ This could be something you see with your eyes, like a feather, or a billboard with just the right message for you. You may have an eye for detail, and notice lots of details of what you have seen. Or it could be seeing with your inner eye. Such as when you see an image in your mind, as you might be able to see auras around someone, or see angels or guides near someone. Doreen Virtue and James Von Praagh are known to be clairvoyant.
  2. Clairaudience which is French for ‘clear hearing.’ This is similar to visual, in that it can be received with either your actual ear, or you hear with your inner ear. I believe the difference from claircognizance and clairaudience is that with clairaudience, it sounds like you are actually hearing someone talk. With claircognizance it is more like thoughts in your head rather than hearing a sound.

These four ways are not the only ways you can receive your intuition. Sometimes people talk about smelling something in the air that has no source where it is coming from. Smells can be associated with someone who has passed, like pipe smoke, or a certain fragrance someone would wear when they were living. There are many stories like this, and it can be reassuring to the person who notices the sent when it reminds them of someone that had passed on. The Special “Edge” that Successful Entrepreneurs Use

Does intuition play a role in your business decisions? Would you be surprised to learn that successful entrepreneurs and executives use intuition to help them be more successful? Even the Marines have programs on Intuition. Those intuitive hunches can give entrepreneurs an “Edge” over others who don’t use or trust their intuition.

Men in business may call it something different. They will tell you that their best deals and investments come from acting on a “hunch” or their “gut feeling”. And they trusted that hunch.

They might describe it by saying, “Well, I just felt like it was going to be a good deal”, or “I just knew it was right”, or “I heard ‘go for it’ when I thought about it.” (Next week I will go into more detail on the different types of ways you can receive your intuition.)

Trusting our intuition includes recognizing when to step forward and when to step back. Those subtle warning messages are sometimes hard to trust. You may hear a whisper that says, “don’t go out with that guy”, or “this is not a good business deal.”

But we really wanted to go out with that guy! Or the business deal just sounded so good! We may not be clear if the whisper WAS a warning or if it was just our fears getting in the way, or that it REALLY WAS our intuition saying to stay clear.

One thing to remember is that there will usually be other “red flags” that pop up. There may be some conflicting or vague data that gives you pause. Often, if it is a true warning and you ignore it, the messages may get even louder or stronger.

But it may be (and it happens to all of us) that you DON’T follow your intuition (and then wish you had). This is actually a terrific opportunity to observe when and how your intuition tapped you on the shoulder, and perhaps you will realize there were other warning signs that you had also ignored. Don’t feel bad about it, just learn from it!

So, true intuition warnings are different than fears that might show up when you know deep down that something would be really good for you to do. These fears are probably from not wanting to get out of your comfort zone (and it is not easy to leave our comfort zones!). It takes practice to learn to trust your intuition.

Here are 5 action steps to help you recognize your intuition:

  1. Start paying attention to how you usually receive your intuition. Is it a physical feeling, or knowing, or a hearing a message? It can be something completely unique to you. It also can come in more than one way. But the important thing is to pay attention, and learn to recognize it.
  2. One really effective way to learn about your intuition is to write down every time you believe you received intuitive guidance, how you received it, and then what was the outcome. A journal is an excellent way to track this. After a while you will start seeing some patterns that will help you to be able to see how you receive your intuition, and start trusting your guidance.
  3. You can start practicing your intuitional hits with things that you can quickly get validation for. Like guessing who is calling before you check the caller ID or answer the phone, or guess how many emails you will get today. Fun and easy things like this can help you build your intuitive muscle. I sometimes will try to guess what time it is, before looking at the clock.
  4. When your intuition doesn’t make any sense, don’t immediately discount it. Recently, I discounted a strong urge to call my mother, even when I knew she wouldn’t be home. (The rest of the story is in last week’s video, and by the way, she is doing better!)
  5. At parties, or other gatherings of people, notice when you approach a person or situation that doesn’t feel right, and when you feel the need to move away. In those cases, take note of how you are feeling and what you are sensing. This can also work for people you meet that you find you are drawn to. Again, take note of what you are feeling and sensing. And keep track of it in your journal.

A Quick Tip for Trusting Your Intuition

Intuition is talking to us all the time, but we can’t always hear it.  So much of our daily world gets in the way.

  • You may feel your intuition is illogical
  • You may not be sure how intuition talks to YOU
  • You may not trust what you’re getting IS intuition

Intuition training is really learning to pay attention to small details of what is happening in the moment because we’re most likely to recognize an intuitive moment when we’re present

Those intuitive moments come in such a variety of ways! (In my video I share an intuitive knowing involving an unusal sensation !)  Then the next step is really tough, because it requires TRUST.

 Our logic is the original anti-trust!  Logic is a wonderful and valuable tool, but it is only one of many ways to make assessments.

 When we learn to trust intuition we are learning to access the spiritual dimensions where magic occurs.  I know I’ve said this before, but we all need daily reminders that our reality is vast and wondrous.

Does Positive Thinking work?

I have to ask?  Does positive thinking work for you?.

If positive thinking was all it took to manifest delicious things, it would work all the time, right?  Why does it seem to work for some, and not others? How come? Have you ever thought “they can manifest things, but I can’t”, or “maybe they know something that I don’t know” “What if there is a key that they know, that I don’t, that would allow me to unlock the treasures in my life?”
 

Do you want to think positive, but then find yourself still struggling with worrying and negative thinking? And find yourself creating more of what you don’t want, vs. what you do want. Well, so did I. For most of my life I have struggled with worries and negative thinking, and I was bound and determined to find that special key, so that I could think in a way that allowed me to manifest those things I did want. To be able to think positively, and make it work!

Well, I didn’t find ‘a key’, but I did find ‘three major keys’ that are very important to be able to manifest what you want on a more dependable and consistent bases. These keys explain why ‘positive thinking’ might work for some, and not for others. Or why it might work some of the time, but not all the time. Or why it works on some issues, and not others. The keys explain why you need more than just ‘positive thinking’ to be good at manifesting.

So what are those keys to manifesting what you want, on a consistent and reliable basis? I feel that there are a bunch of components to it. But I am listing what I feel have been the three major key components to manifesting in my life and how I have helped my clients.

Yes, what you think is important, but how those thoughts make you feel, is one of the key components. And another key component is what you believe and expect on that issue, will be what you create! So to think positive, you have to really believe and expect it, and allow those thoughts to make you feel good. If you are saying positive words, but you don’t believe or expect it, or deep down you are feeling afraid or sad. no matter what positive words you might say or think, they won’t work. You will get very poor results in manifesting what you want.
To sum up the three keys:

The First Key: is knowing that what you feel, believe and expect, are the main driving factors to manifesting what you want.

The Second Key: is that you need to feel good the majority of the time, and you have to convince your subconscious mind to believe and expect that you will get what you want.

The Third Key: is knowing how to do the second key. In the past the first and second keys wern’t understood, so they thought that ‘positive thinking’ was the only way to get what you want. They didn’t realize that if it worked, it was because the ‘positive thinking’ was making the person feel better, and helped them to start to believe and expect that they were going to get what they wanted.
Usually for positive thinking to do that, it would have to be repeated so many times, that it would finally start to convince the conscious mind and get through to the subconscious mind that those positive thoughts are real and believable.
 

That is one of the reasons why I am creating the Inner Harmony meditation and affirmation recordings, because it makes it so much easier to allow those positive messages to be repeated so much easier, and more effectively.  (To learn more about these recording go to top of “Home” page and scroll down to the link for them.)
 

Sometimes repeating the positive message isn’t enough though, and that is where EFT or Tapping will help with clearing out any strong doubts and fears, so those positive words can be accepted and believed.

What works when we are Tapping?

I had a question from John  who asked “what works when we are using EFT or tapping?”?”  And that is a really good question, that no one really knows for sure the answer.   Gary Craig who developed this technique, feels that when we tap those special meridian points in our body, the energy flows from tapping to the area in our body that is carrying the static or stuck energy.  And what we say while we tap, allows the subconscious mind to find the static that belongs to that issue you are tapping on.  Like an electrician that needs to find a faulty wiring in a house. The wire has a break in it, and it is leaking electricity, (that turns into negative emotion in the body) and is not allowing the wire to flow the good energy like it should.  I believe that when we are talking while tapping, and we get very specific on an issue, it allows the subconscious mind (electrician) to find the faulty wire (issue, especially the negative emotion from that issue) and the tapping allows the subconscious mind to repair the wire, clear out all the negative emotion, and allow the good energy to flow again.

“Does tapping connect with the subconscious mind?”  It is hard to prove that we are reaching the subconscious mind when we tap, but there are two things that make me feel we are. The first is that often things are cleared that reside in the subconscious mind after tapping.  A good example are that phobias can be cleared very fast by tapping. And Phobias tend to come from the subconscious mind.   The second reason I think we connect to the subconscious mind while tapping, is the amazing insights that often show up while tapping, that have been buried deep in the subconscious mind.  It’s like once the subconscious mind discoveries you are doing the tapping to clear stuff, it sends you more stuff (insights) to be cleared out.  Thank you John for asking those questions. I often get asked why those spots, and do you have to tap on all 8?  They are meridian spots, but there are meridian spots that are very good also.  No you don’t have to do all 8, and you don’t have to do them in that order.  As people have been able to get results, with less, or different ones, or even a different order.  Gary Craig feels that one of those 8 spots may be the key one for helping, and rather than trying to figure out which one, why not tap on all of them, and you will be sure to tap on the main one.   After doing hypnosis for a long time, I feel that after a bit of tapping on the 8 spots, it seems to put you in a relaxed state, and I feel that opens the channel to the subconscious mind.  Not always, but often.

 

3Tips on feeling more abundant

What is abundance mean to you?  Do you think it is:

  •  Being wealthy,
  •  Being healthy,
  •  Having great relationships,
  •  Having a great job,
  •  Feeling fulfilled
  •  Living your destiny
  •  All of the above
  •  Or something else entirely?   (Please leave a comment below, I would like to hear from you.)

I believe that feeling abundant in your life is really a mindset.  Of course there are things that you would like to have more of in your life that would make you feel more abundant.  That is normal.   When I think back to my earlier years, I definitely have now what I thought would make me feel abundant back then. 

So the million dollar question is: now that I have what I wanted back then, do I feel abundant now?  Actually YES, but I have to be careful that I don’t just keep raising the abundance bar, and never feel abundant now.  Having more desires is part of life, that’s perfectly natural and normal.  Where you can get into trouble, is never allowing yourself to feel happy, abundant, or fulfilled right now, because of what isn’t in your life yet!   

What does it take for you to feel abundant?  I really want to know.  For me, it takes appreciation of all the good things that I have in my life.  It takes focusing on what has improved, what is good right now.  One of the things I have learned from Law of Attraction is that in order for you to receive the abundance you want, you have to feel like you are abundant right now.  Now, I know that is easier said and done. 

Believe me, I am very passionate about this topic because, back in the 80s, I hit rock bottom.  I was going through a divorce, and lots of other negative stuff that I was focusing on. I certainly didn’t feel abundant.  I went through a long deep depression.  And because of that depression, whenever I thought of my past, present or future everything looked dark and negative. The opposite of abundance.   What I know now, is that focusing on the negative brought more negative stuff into my life to reinforce that thinking, and kept the abundance away.

One of the things that got me back on the road to feeling better, was a neighbor friend that gave me a little booklet put out by the Unity Church. It gave me hope and got me back onto my spiritual path.  But it wasn’t until I married Neale Donald Walsch in 1995 that I started understanding that our thoughts created our reality.  That’s when it became my mission to learn how to turn my negative thinking, and worrying around and start feeling abundant.  That is why I so love the ‘Tapping’, and some of the other things that have changed my life, and I really enjoying being able to do the same for my clients.   

I love giving tips, so if you want to feel more abundant and help you focus on what is good in your life,  here are a few things you can do right now. 

  1. Think back 10 years, and remember what you were wishing for at that time.  Then notice how many of those desires have been fulfilled.  Maybe even think back just 5 years as well, and you might be surprised at all that is in your life since then.   (If not, then you may want to get more help in turning your focus around, to start allowing more abundance into your life.)   
  2. Make a list of 10 things that make you feel abundant right now.  That could be something like having plenty of food to eat, and a warm bed to sleep in.  It could be some of your special friends that are in your life that you have fun with.  Or getting to do some of the things you really love to do.  Or glad your body is working pretty well.  Or remembering one of your favorite vacations, and how much fun you had.  You get the picture, once you get started, you might be surprised at how many things you can come up with.  Of course, it might not be the financail abundance you still want, but feeling abundant in other areas, can help bring in more financail abundance too.
  3. Think of something that you don’t have yet, and take a few minutes to close your eyes, and pretend or imagine yourself experiencing receiving it.  Give it full color, movement, sounds, and lots of good feelings.  Stay with it as long as it is making you feel good.

Your subconscious mind thinks you are experiencing it, and if you do it often enough, it will work towards you having more of that in your life.  Yah!  Unfortunately, that works the other way too.  If you are continually worrying about bad things that might happen, and see them as a mind movie, the same thing will happen with the subconscious mind.  If do start getting doubts about receiving your desire, or if you start worrying about something, please make sure you ‘Tap’ on it. Do you want to light up the world?

I recently heard You can’t be a light for the world, if you can’t pay your light bill!   Yep! You really can’t be a light for the world, if your Shining Star is in the dark, or you have it covered up with fears and worries about not paying your bills.  Do you have a passion that’s  burning inside you with lots of light for the world, but you don’t know how to tap into it? And are your fears or money worries throwing cold water on that inner fire?  I hate seeing people struggle when they don’t have to.

However, it’s really hard to be all you want to be, to be that Shining Star, when you are struggling and worried. The angels don’t want you to struggle too; they would love for you to really be all you can be, and that brings abundance into your life.  The angels want to help you, and like I have been saying all along, all you have to do is ask them.

It’s not fair to have that burning desire, and not be able to let it shine.  I let fears and worries cover up my light way too long.  Oh, it would shine once in a while, but then the awful fears would rear their ugly head, and then no one could see my light.  Thank goodness I had some wonderful people and angels that helped me, and some fantastic tools, such as EFT to let go of the fears (or at least most of them!)  I have come from being painfully shy, to busting at the seams to get my message out, and let my light shine!!  Because I now know that it’s not about me, it’s about how the light is coming through me, from my Inner Shining Star, that can help light up other Shining Stars!  Especially with the help of the angels!

What you can do right now, to let more light shine, and prosperity come in?

I have 3 Steps to get started:

1.       What is your passion, what would light your fire?  If you aren’t sure what your inner light is, think of what you would want to do, if you won the big lottery.  (Well, at least after the exotic trip!)  What would light your inner fire, to do, or share, or be, that would bring you true fulfillment in your life?  What would give you endless energy doing it?  What would you do if money or other obligations were not a problem, like winning the lottery?

 

2.       Ok, well did you get an answer? 

 

          a.       Yes, great.  But then did you start getting some “Yes, but….” If so, this is where you start uncovering some of the muck (fears, disbeliefs, worries, unworthiness, shame, etc.) that might be covering up that inner light.  If you do know what would make you heart sing, but have some muck covering up that light, then start asking the angels to help, and tap on whatever comes up.  (For more information on tapping, download the Free EFT Tapping  Guide found to the right of this screen)  So be sure to tap on all those “Yes Buts” that might show up when you think of doing what would make your heart sing.  Like cleaning a seagull that got covered with an oil spill, tapping will be like clearing away the oil and muck so that you can fly again.

          b.      If you still didn’t come up with what would make your heart sing. then that muck might be so thick that you can’t even get in touch with it.  That’s OK, because this is where the angels and the tapping can really help. Ask them for some clarity, and then tap on the confusion.  You may have to tap on some fears that you might be afraid of dreaming that big!

 

3.       I have been sharing EFT Tapping  in some short videos for a variety of problems, and thought about doing one for this, but this is more involved than what I can do in a short video.  If that muck that is keeping you from letting your light shine and your abundance flowing in, please ask the angels for clarity on what is in the way, and ask for their help in clearing it, and don’t forget to tap.  If you aren’t sure what to tap on, just start tapping at the eyebrow, and work your way through the points while just talking about what it true for you.  Then after a bit of tapping, ask yourself if this problem or limiting belief is still true for you.  Keep tapping until it feels cleared.  Often other insights will come to you during the tapping.  Once you can clear a lot of muck, then you will start feeling this burning desire to be fulfilled.  That is when the fun begins!

3 Tips to help you make the Law of Attraction work for you.

Is the Law of Attraction working for you?  Have you watched the movie “The Secret”, applied all that they said, and are still not getting what you want?

Have you wondered how to really make it work?  How to attract what you want in life?   You might even have experienced the Law of Attraction working in some areas and not others. 

Why is that so? 

Shouldn’t it work across all areas of your life evenly?

Nope!!  Afraid not!

That’s because we have different thoughts and feelings on a variety of subjects in our lives.  Some subjects we feel good about, and some we don’t. Some subjects we have limiting beliefs, and some we don’t!  It is interesting that the more we believe, think and feel good about say, relationships, the better they turn out.  And the worse you might feel about money, the worse the situation turns out.  That is why you can have one area turn out better than others.  

Here’s the big kicker: if one subject is really difficult, and you have lots of fears and negative attitude towards it, often other things in your life will start to turn sour, too.  And fortunately, if one subject starts going really well, the others usually improve also.

That is because what we focus on the most, and have strong thoughts and feelings about, (that is, the vibration we send out) will be the dominate vibration of what we get back. 

The bottom line is: when you focus on things that make you feel good, or that you are grateful for, you will attract more of it, and other positive things!  Or when you focus on what you don’t want or don’t like, you will attract more of it and other negative things.

So the million dollar question is: how do you stay focused on things that make you feel good? 

You’d think it would be easy to just stay focused on the good in life.   I’m here to tell you it takes effort and practice! For me, as well as everyone else, it is a work in progress, but I am happy to say it is really is getting much easier to do thanks to what I know and have applied in my life. 

I am pleased to say that I have helped many of my clients learn to stay focused on what they want and have seen wonderful and exciting changes come from this practice.  Everyone, yes you, can learn to do it.

Tips that you can use right now: 

  • You don’t have to monitor every thought; but keep noticing how you are feeling, it’s the feelings that those thoughts create that are important. 
  • Then start paying attention to what situations make you feel bad. Are you finding yourself watching upsetting TV shows or news programs that make you feel sad? What else is bringing you down?
  • Don’t get caught up in thinking that you can’t be happy until a certain situation changes.  Of course you can work towards making situations better.   But the best way to change a situation and raise your vibration right now is to see all the situations in a better light just the way they are.

5 Tips and Tapping video on Procrastination

Do you find yourself procrastinating?  Me too!  So, I have come up with some ways to help with that.  For a funny story on it, and some tapping about not wanting to do a dreaded task, go to the video below. (Only 5 minutes)

So hopefully you watched the video, and you are ready to do that project you have been putting off.  Here are 5 tips on making sure it gets done.  You may have received an email about this, but in case you didn’t, or didn’t read  it I wanted to post it here as well.

These 5 tips come from Rita Emmett.  She is a valued author and speaker on this subject.  I find that she is a very good resource on procrastination.  I added some of my own suggestions on how to use these tips.

Rita said you need to:

“Take the ‘S.T.I.N.G’ out of Procrastination!”

“S”  Select one task you’ve been putting off:  Just one, no multitasking allowed during this time.  Don’t overwhelm yourself with trying to do a bunch of items all at once. Most of the time; if you try to do too much, you will be overwhelmed, and not get anything done.   Also don’t forget to (“S”) Select some angelic assistants for the task.  Like if you have a writing task to do, ask for an angelic script writer to give you inspiration.  Asking the angels, really helps the project go so much easier, especially projects that you have put off.  (Of course I added the angel suggestion!)

“T” Time yourself: Give the task one full hour, even if you don’t think it will take that long, or if you think it will take longer.  An hour is a good block of time that can allow you to feel like it’s not so long that you can’t fit it into your day, and long enough that you are not rushing through the task.

“I” Ignore everything else you have to do.  Don’t take a phone call; don’t check your emails, etc.  Unless the house is burning down, or someone is in danger ignore any other distractions.  You might even need to put a ‘do not disturb’ sign up.

“N” no breaks allowed.  No breaks during that hour.  You will be surprised when you are working on something that you don’t like doing, how much you might want to stop and take a break.  Before you start; be sure to use the rest room, have water on hand, and all the supplies you need so you can’t use them as excuses to take a break.  Act as if you are in a very important meeting where it would not be OK to get up and leave.  Don’t take a break, but be sure to do the next tip after you are done!

“G” Give yourself a reward when the task is done.   It could be something you normally wouldn’t have time to do, like going out to lunch with a friend.  Or it could also be something like watching your favorite show, or play a game on your computer.  You don’t have to do the reward right after the hour you worked, but don’t forget to do this step, life is getting so busy for us that we are now putting off what we want to do, as well as putting off what we don’t want to do.

Actually procrastination is just a symptom of the actual problem, and getting to the cause of long standing procrastination is much more complex than we can discuss here or on the video, and if this a big issue for you, you may need a coach to help. Tapping and Angelic Assistance for Overwhelm!!

Are you, like some of my clients, feeling overloaded and overwhelmed?

I get that way sometimes too, as we are all so very busy!  Feeling stress is not just a mental problem; it actually alters the neuro-chemical makeup of the body.

 

Be sure you have a “stress toolkit” for when you are overloaded.  (Preferably something non-fattening, but sometimes a little dark chocolate can really help!) See below for my top 10 tips!

Everyone should have some anti-stress tools handy that can take less than 10 minutes.  Even though you might not feel like you have even 5 or 10 minutes to spare, you may be surprised how taking a break can quickly change your state of mind.  Which will then help you feel much better and get so much more done!

Top 10 Tips to Deal with Overwhelm

 

You can do things such as:

  1. Take a break, and go for a quick brisk walk in the fresh air.
  2. Sit down for a few minutes with a glass of fresh water, or a cup of hot tea.
  3. Close your eyes, and take three deep breathes and think about being on a beach or someplace else that is relaxing for you.
  4. Change your focus, read a funny joke, or remember some funny incident that made you laugh.
  5. 5.     Take a moment to appreciate something in your life.  This will also change your focus, and make you feel better.  Science has shown that appreciation creates new neural pathways in the brain and increases Serotonin (the feel-good chemical)!
  6. Take some time to think how you can break a big project down into bite sized jobs, rather than seeing it as huge and overwhelming.
  7. Ask yourself what one thing you could you do right now that would make the biggest impact on your to-do-list, and give you the most satisfaction when done.
  8. Check and see if anything on your list could be delegated to someone else.
  9. 9.     Especially don’t forget to ask the Angels for help with any or all of the things you need to do!

It might help to know that one of the reasons that EFT works so well, is that it helps turn down the volume of stress. (Science is now proving this.)

Once you turn down the volume of stress,

You can:

  • Feel calmer.
  • Lessen reactivity.
  • Release visceral tension. (Oh those shoulders!)
  • Bring your body out of ‘stress-mode’ so you can actually get out of ‘stuck mode’, and get things done!
